The form is available on the agenda for public comment. Sign up is available online at 9:00 a.m. the Monday before the scheduled Public Comment & Progress Monitoring meeting. The public comment sign-up form can be found here.

Similar to phone sign ups, the online sign-up window closes the Thursday before the Public Comment & Progress Monitoring meeting at 5:00 p.m. A finalized list of speakers will be posted to the Public Comment agenda by noon the day of the Public Comment & Progress Monitoring Meeting.

Three minutes will be allotted to individual speakers and 10 minutes to groups.

Individuals may sign up only once to address the Board. NO INDIVIDUAL IN A GROUP WILL BE ALLOWED TO SPEAK FOR MORE THAN THREE MINUTES. Substitutes are not allowed…only the person who signed up to speak may address the Board.

Anyone without computer access may still sign up by calling 720-423-3210 by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday before the Public Comment & Progress Monitoring meeting.

Please plan your presentation in advance to ensure that it is as clear and concise as possible. Be prepared to email your comments to board@dpsk12.org in case we experience technical issues during the meeting.

When it is your turn to speak, you will be called upon by the President and you will be unmuted. Once the allotted 3 minutes are complete, you will be muted once again. At this point, you may leave the Zoom conference room. Due to limited staff resources, we will not be able to provide technical assistance in the event you run into technical issues.

Meeting Types

Regular meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m., which is followed by public comment. The board votes on each month’s action items during this meeting. Regular Board meetings are held at 1860 Lincoln.

You are invited to take part in our meetings virtually or in-person and become involved in the success of our schools and students.  Please notify the Board of Education Office at least 48 hours prior to the meeting of any special accommodations or translation services requests.

Work sessions are held on the first Thursday of each month. These meetings serve as an opportunity to prepare for the regular meetings and to study issues before voting.

Focus on Achievement sessions are held on the Monday prior to regular meetings. During these sessions, the board discusses topics such as our return to school and the Listen and Learn Tour.

Executive session is when the board may recess from a board meeting to a closed session for discussion. Topics to be discussed are limited to matters under the law such as personnel, real estate acquisitions, security or consultation with attorneys. All executive sessions are closed to the public. Board members may not vote during executive sessions.
