Swansea Elementary held a ribbon cutting on the first day of the school year, Aug. 22, to celebrate their school renovation thanks to the 2012 DPS Bond. Board member Lisa Flores joined the celebration, as the school was filled with parents and students who were excited and ready for a new year on their updated campus.

The renovation included conversion of the open-plan model to enclosed classrooms, replacing the freezer/cooler and A/C in telecommunications room, upgrades to bring the building up to code, ADA improvements throughout the building, and upgrades in student technology.
