Bruce Hoyt - District 1

Bruce Hoyt

Bruce was elected to the Board of Education in November 2003. He is a managing director with the Investment Bank of McDonald Investments, specializing in mergers and acquisition work. He has worked for Great-West Life Assurance Company and Boettcher & Co. He is a native of Colorado and attended Phillips and Carson elementary schools, Hill Middle School and George Washington and Manual high schools. He received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his Masters in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management with an emphasis in Finance. Among his community service, he is the President and Founder of Friends of Manual High School, Inc., a Board Member and past Chairman of Mile High Child Care, a member of the Arts and Cultural Studies High School Advisory Board, and a Board Member and past Vice-Chairman of the Mile High United Way.

Bruce is an avid sports fan and lists tennis, cycling and reading as some of his favorite activities.

Bruce and his wife Heidi Hummel Hoyt have two children, Henry (12) and Isabel (10). Both children attend Slavens School.
