A native Denverite, Allegra attended Denver Public Schools and received a BA degree with honors from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York City. Her nickname, Happy, is derived from the Spanish translation of her first name, Allegra.Read more...

Nate Easley, Jr. - District 4 - Secretary

Dr. Easley is a current member of Colorado Governor Ritter’s P-20 Council, serving on the Transitions sub-committee. Prior to joining DSF, Dr. Easley served as Vice President for National and International Programs for the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) in Washington, DC. Read more...

Arturo Jimenez - District 5

Elected in 2007, Arturo Jimenez is the newest member of the Board of Education representing Northwest and West Denver. Arturo graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with degrees in Sociology and Ethnic Studies and has a Juris Doctor Degree from the CU School of Law. Read more...

Jeannie Kaplan - District 3

Kaplan was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 2, 1945. Both of her parents were public school teachers: her mother was a music teacher; her father was a history/social studies teacher.
