Board Member Reports

Board of Education appointment on the Denver Public Schools Retirement System Board of Trustees (II-A) - To extend Velma Rose’s appointment in the Board of Education position on the Denver Public Schools Retirement System Board of Trustees by one year, to expire on December 31, 2004.

Appointment on the Denver School Facilities Leasing Corporation Board of Directors (II-B) - To appoint Susan G. Edwards to fill the position on the Denver School Facilities Leasing Corporation Board of Directors vacated by Marcia Johnson.

SIAC Report - The Board will hear the annual report by the School Improvement and Accountability Council.

Superintendent’s Reports

Gift Report - The Board of Education will be asked to accept gifts having a value of $500 or more (III-A)

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the Year Ended June 30, 2003 (IV-D-1a) - To present for receipt, prior to the November 30, 2003, statutory deadline, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the District for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2003.

Single Audit Report for the Year Ended June 30, 2002 (IV-D-1b) - To present for receipt, as required by federal law, the Single Audit Report for the District for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2003.

Colorado Opportunity Contract Pilot Program

Resolution - To Deny a Nonpublic School Application (IV-E-1a) - The Board of Education will act to deny Beth Eden Baptist School, a previously conditionally accepted nonpublic school, participation in the Colorado Opportunity Pilot Program, for their failure to submit required data by November 1, 2003.

Resolution - To Deny a Nonpublic School Application (IV-E-1b) - The Board of Education will act to deny Community School for the Gifted, a previously conditionally accepted nonpublic school, participation in the Colorado Opportunity Pilot Program, for their failure to submit required data by November 1, 2003.

Resolution - To Deny a Nonpublic School Application (IV-E-1c) - The Board of Education will act to deny University of Denver High School, a previously conditionally accepted nonpublic school, participation in the Colorado Opportunity Pilot Program, for their failure to submit required data by November 1, 2003.
